What we like most about Canyon Meadows is how much sits close together. Fish Creek Provincial Park is on the south edge. Canyon Meadows itself has a Red Line C-Train station, a City pool and a community association with rinks. Here are four things we point buyers to.

  • Fish Creek Provincial Park next door: The park runs along the south edge. Alberta Parks lists 44 km of paved path, 34 km of granular path and 43 km of designated single track in the park.
  • A C-Train station in the community: Canyon Meadows Station is on the Red Line. As of October 2026, bus routes 28, 44 and 83 also connect there.
  • A City pool and fitness centre: Canyon Meadows Aquatic & Fitness Centre is at 89 Canova Road SW. It has an indoor six-lane, 25 metre pool.
  • A community association with rinks and a disc golf course: The Canyon Meadows Community Association runs two boarded rinks, a pleasure rink, a playground and a free disc golf course.

Good to Know Before You Buy in Canyon Meadows

Before you buy in Canyon Meadows, Calgary, check four things. Most homes are older, so get an inspection. Wildlife lives in nearby Fish Creek Provincial Park. A few places buyers expect, such as the golf club and the library, sit outside the Canyon Meadows boundary. For safety, use the Calgary Police Service data.

  • Not everything is inside the boundary: The Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club is a private club just west of 14 Street SW. Fish Creek Library is east of Macleod Trail S. The C-Train Park and Ride is also across Macleod Trail S.

  • Fish Creek Provincial Park: Alberta Parks says the park offers recreation for every outdoor fan, including biking, birding, fishing, picnicking and boating. Check Alberta Parks for current advisories before you go.
  • Pool and fitness: Canyon Meadows Aquatic & Fitness Centre has a dive tank, a vortex water slide, a steam room and a weight room. The pool water is kept at 28 degrees Celsius. Tennis courts and parking are on site. Check the City page for hours and programs.
  • Community association: The association is at 844 Cantabrian Drive SW. It has two boarded rinks, one pleasure rink, four basketball hoops, a gaga ball pit and a playground.   • Shops: Neighbourhood shopping is along Elbow Drive SW and Canyon Meadows Drive SW.
  • Just outside the boundary: Canyon Meadows Golf & Country Club is a private club just west of 14 Street SW. Fish Creek Library, at 11161 Bonaventure Drive SE, is east of Macleod Trail S.

Getting Around Canyon Meadows: C-Train, Buses and Roads

The Canyon Meadows C-Train station, on the Red Line, is inside the community. As of October 2026, bus routes 28, 44 and 83 connect at the station. Macleod Trail S runs along the east edge. We don't give travel times, because they change with the hour and where you start.

  • Red Line station: Canyon Meadows Station had about 458,000 boardings in 2025.
  • Park and Ride: The station's Park and Ride is across Macleod Trail S, linked by a pedestrian overpass. Free and reserved parking is available. Check Calgary Transit for current details.
  • Buses: Check Calgary Transit for current service on routes 28, 44 and 83.
  • Main roads: Anderson Road SW, 14 Street SW and Macleod Trail S form the edges. Elbow Drive SW runs through the community.
  • How residents get to work (2021 Census): 77% of employed residents drove and 10% took transit (Calgary: 9%). 3% walked. 46% had a commute of 15 to 29 minutes, and 23% under 15 minutes. That is a commute to anywhere, not only downtown.

Schools in Canyon Meadows by Board

As of October 2026, four schools sit inside Canyon Meadows, Calgary. Three are Calgary Board of Education (CBE) schools: Canyon Meadows School, Robert Warren School and Dr. E. P. What's Changing in Canyon Meadows (2026)

As of October 2026, the City of Calgary's repeal of blanket rezoning took effect on August 4, 2026, and no City local area plan covers Canyon Meadows. We can't say what either will do to home prices. Each item below is dated.

  • Zoning (changes took effect August 4, 2026): On April 8, 2026, City Council voted to repeal the blanket rezoning. The City says 99% of properties returned to the zoning that applied before.
